We decided to make a blog to be like everyone else. Unfortunately we don't have any cute children to take pictures of. So instead, our lives consist mainly of amusing ourselves with inventing words and finding the humor in the banal* events around us--and the not so banal ones. We welcome your comments; there's no pressure to be as funny as us (or as self-promoting).

What you can look forward to in upcoming posts:
1) A preview of the accomodations you can expect (and ENJOY) when you come visit us in Philadelphia
2) Missionary experiences in South Philadelphia, and why we now own a club
3) Good parenting in Philadelphia
4) How we celebrate September 19th
5) Many, many pictures of us eating

*Banal: (adj.) Drearily commonplace and often predictable; trite.

You too! Ahhhh! This is getting pretty out of control around here. Sorry,
my family doesn't blog, but for your enjoyment, here is a list of ogs that
    we do:
Dog- yes, there are a couple of neighborhood dogs who prefer our yard to
    theirs for toileting purposes.
Fog- or as Gabe calls it "smoke."
Jog- Gabe rarely stops jogging except to sleep. Me, not so much. It hurts
    the knees. Prefer walking.
Nog- Definitely! Eggnog season is coming up any day now from the looks of
the displays at any local store. (There is a really good brand of Vitasoy
eggnog with no eggs or milk, also, their peppermint chocolate holiday drink
    is YUM.)
Pog- hey, weren't those some nerdy cardboard medallions that people used to
    collect in the 80's?
Sog- Yes, that's why we visit Walmart to buy diapers on a regular basis.
They can be found just past the Christmas displays (see; Nog).

So, we'll check you're blog (it looks cool, by the way) and you can see what
ogs we currently participate in. Love, Richelle

Oops, guess I should have said, "Katie's mom!" Wouldn't want Julie to get credit for responding.

1-- Bart, you're like me. I hadn't even told anyone that we had made a blog... and I kept checking it every 10 minutes or so to see if anything had changed. :)
    2-- HORRAY FOR BLOGS!
3-- There's nothing banal about your lives... In the words of that Sanjaya-looking dude on Nacho Libre: "You crazy!"

  6. Bec says:

4-- It is unfortunate. (Get busy!)
