2 cans Texas style biscuits (not the regular size - too small; they have to be Texas Style or Jumbo).
1 stick butter
1.5 cups sugar
2 Tbs cinnamon

Quarter the biscuits.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a large ziploc bag.
Shake the biscuits in the cinasuger.
Put the sugar-goodness biscuits in a greased bundt pan.
Melt the butter, and mix with remaining cinasugar. Pour over top of biscuits.
Bake 350, 30 minutes.
Turn over onto plate.
Let cool for as long as you can stand to wait.

[Flanagan family conference tradition.]

P.S. And if you like those, wait until Christmas when we let you try our sweet potatoes.

P.P.S. For the sake of truth in blogging -- the bread doesn't have monkeys in it; the monkeys make the bread.

P.P.P.S. Shawn, did you say banana bread because monkeys like bananas?

love that you have the monkey bread tradition. My monkeys all love it too!

  2. Shawn says:

    1) Sounds Delicious!
    2) I'm even willing to try the potatoes.
    3) Can I see a picture of the monkeys making the bread? Video would be better.
    4) Does it taste as good if there are no monkeys readily available and you are forced to make it yourself?
    5) Salad = Rabbit Food
    Cream Cheese = Cow Fudge
Banana Bread = Monkey Bread = Reasonable but Mistaken Assumption.

Shawn, not only do the monkeys make it, but you can really tell they're monkeys by the way they eat it!

  5. bart says:

Careful what you say . . . you raised one of the monkeys!

Hey Mr. Smarty-pants (Shawn), no one is going to shove sweet potatoes down your cute little throat. Bart will have no problem eating the whole casserole by himself. Hmpfh.
