tomatoes in about 51 days.
We decided that if we don't kill our tomato plant, which we refer to as "our cute baby" we might be ready to have a kid. Although, I'm not sure what we are going to do when we leave for a two-week vacation in July....

We went on a vacation once for a week and left our kids. They were all home when we got back......Wait, do we have four or five? Oh well..
I'm glad you have a garden! I have killed countless houseplants, yet somehow, my kids live on. They are tougher than weeds! As for leaving your little one while you are on vacation, some people say they fill 2 liter soda bottles with water and turn them upside down with the neck down in the soil. I guess the soil absorbs more as it needs to. I haven't ever done that, so I can't say if it works or not. I have also heard the opinion expressed among certain circles that it can be considered irresponsible to bring a life into the world knowing that you are not prepared to care for it. Poor tomato...he'll cry for his mom and dad while you're gone. (or is it a girl? hmm...I guess tomato plants are both, aren't they?)
Tomatoes are troopers. We totally neglected ours last year, and they absolutely thrived! Good luck, and good luck with your "baby." :)
