The South Philadelphia Pennsport neighborhood just got a little nicer.... Because we moved in.
We haven't hung anything on the walls and our basement is still a disaster, but we have already gotten our first little mouse. We named her (or him or shim) Denise after one of Katie's coworkers who steals any food that's been left out and poops all over the place (not a joke -- she stinks up the bathrooms on every floor every day twice a day).
Listen carefully in the video. You may notice a distinct lack of bickering, drunken neighbors upstairs...because upstairs is ours, too!
[Awesome video originally placed here, but ruined by Blogger. Sorry. Stay tuned.]
That's it for now. We will most definitely be posting something cool after the incredible weekend we have planned. Mmmmm.... cheesesteaks. (And Granny).

I can hardly wait to revel in the awesomeness of the video you will present. And congrats on the new pet!
I'm excited to see your new place. I'll keep peeking for that video!
I'll just imagine an awesome movie, I guess. Gabe would love to have a pet mouse. Any pet, actually. We were digging in our yard a couple weekends ago and he got a worm out of the ground and carried it around saying, "I'm so happy we have a pet now!"
That's super funny, Richelle. And gross. Why do boys have to be so nasty? :)
That's awesome, Richelle!
Don't be such a bully, Becca. Poor guy isn't being gross. He just really wants a pet, that's all.
Also, Becca -- how did you respond to Richelle's comment so fast? Do you have all the blogs open all the time, just in case someone posts or comments?
Boys aren't the only ones who like worms. Syd keeps putting dirt in her bug house and then putting worms in it for pets. The bottom is solid but the sides are wire mesh - so more than a little messy. Once they dry out and die Mindy usually ends up cleaning the whole thing up.
I'm beginning to wonder if you really moved since there is no evidence to that fact. And how do you know it's a new mouse and not Boris from Katie's first Philly apartment?
I stay home all day, Bart. What else would I do, if not check Blogger all day... play with and/or educate my kid??? Pssssh...
