This was how happy Miles was before he got his concoction of rice cereal and formula. Miles really liked the high chair and the spoon best, but he was a trooper and didn't fuss at all even though he clearly wasn't too excited about the actual eating. Below is the video and some after shots. Bart and I tasted the stuff so we would know what he was eating. IT WAS DISGUSTING. I seriously almost vomited. Luckily I'm going to follow it with some ice cream. Unfortunately, Miles isn't so lucky.
What a big boy! We love you Miles!
HE LOOKS LIKE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT BABY!!! Oh, my word! Really. Somebody's growing up super quick!
Besides the initial (okay, continual) surprise of his aging and subsequent changing, I just have to say: "HOORAY, MILES! You're such a big boy! Great job eating that rice cereal!!" :) He's stinkin' adorable!
He actually seemed to do pretty well as far as getting-food-to-stay-in-mouth goes, I thought. Especially for his very first time. I hope he sleeps like a champ tonight with that yummy food in his belly!
We love you guys and cannot wait to see you SOON! (Just think, then I can TALK in novels instead of TYPE in novels... aren't you excited? lol) Thanks for posting videos and pictures. It's so fun to see you guys as parents. You're doing a great job; I can tell.
Love you all. Sleep tight. :)
That was hilarious! Miles's faces he was making when the cereal was going in his mouth were too funny. He must have been thinking "Mom and Dad, why are you putting that stuff in my mouth?" mmmm....slimy, pasty and tasty!
Wait until you give him something he doesn't like.
When I was working as a Nanny, and gave my baby his first taste of peas, he actually gave a full out shiver from his head to his toes. it was too funny, I still have the picture
This is my favorite Miles video. He's so fun to watch eat real people food! (That coming from an adult who still liked rice cereal last time I checked). Miles is very expressive as he discovers eating something new...WITH something new- a spoon! :)
