We had such an awesome time spending a mini vacation in Utah at the beginning of April (I'll write more about that later in Miles's 9 and 10 month posts). Luckily for us, there were some hilarious things that happened to welcome us back to the South.

1) I was at Wal-Mart getting a few essentials (READ: an assortment of beans, bacon, sausage, etc--yes, we are that cool) last week and Miles was chilling in his buggy-cushion thingy eating an occasional baby yogurt snack, pretty much loving life. I was doing my thing and walked passed this older lady who was shaking her head at me, eyes down, lips pursed, you know, totally disapproving. And then she said the following:

"You are TOO young to be shopping for food in the middle of the day with your baby."

I stopped the buggy, slyly leaned toward her with a grin on my face and said, "You know, I'm actually 29, but thank you."

She sheepishly replied, "Oh, well then I guess that makes it okay."

I love Southern women--they speak their mind--even when it's totally rude!

2) The night we got back from our trip it was totally Miles's bedtime, but he was so excited to be in his house that we let him run around nudey tudey (well, with a diaper) for awhile to check everything out. He was so happy to see EVERYTHING: his picture of Jesus, his owl mobile, his argyle wall, his baby gate...

He is SOOO HAPPY! That's adorable! It's great to see him love HOME. :)

Jolie's comment after watching, "A Baby Miles so funny! Is US Baby Miles! Baby Miles, Baby Miles, Baby Miles (singing at this point)." :) PS. "US Baby Miles" means "OUR Baby Miles." She claims him. That's love. :)

Yeah Katie, get back to high school instead of out shopping! That is hilarious.

Miles IS loving being back home. He is such a character! What a cute personality that boy's got!
