Miles's eight month of life has been all about moving. He likes to go up the stairs, rough and tumble with Dad, swing outside, and climb over people and pillows and toys. It is so much fun to see him learn about the world around him.

He is expanding his palate as well. Some of his new favorites include refried beans (how could he not love these?) sour cream, and sloppy joes. Ha! He's also enjoyed salsa (medium hotness) Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and chicken tetrazini. He pretty much loves anything that we are eating, but he doesn't quite connect that he can put the food in his own mouth. We really like that he enjoys trying new things--he's come a long way from rice cereal!

Miles LOVES going to the store and riding in the shopping buggy (in the South they are not called carts). He likes the fabric store (I'm sewing a quilt with some girls in Relief Society) and Target (who doesn't like Target?) and Home Depot (more later about our home redecorating). It's really fun when we have outings since he likes it so much.

Below are some of the highlights from his 8th month of life:

You are soooo right. That is the most adorable thing EVER! Can't wait to have him crawling around our house!

Miles is really getting around now! He's fast too. He's got it down! You're gonna need that baby jail (I love how he's wearing prison stripes in that picture). Gabe told me today when I made him go to Kohl's (to buy a new white shirt for church) and Target (to buy a b-day present for his friend's party) that "boys do not like shopping." I am now pleased to show him Miles's picture of how boys do LOVE to shop. Maybe I should make Gabe ride in the trolley (that's what they call a buggy in Australia) so he will enjoy shopping as much as Miles. :)

Oh my gosh! He's so mobile! And his widdo bum is so cute shake-shakin all the way to the tub! :) What a cute patoot.

Also, I really like the flooring in your bathroom.

Please insert the following caption under the baby gate,"Didn't I just get done doing nine months of solitary confinement?"
