Remember the movie Groundhog day? Well the real Punxsutawney is even more quirky, but not nearly as big or nice as that. But if your idea of a good time is getting up at 3:30am to drive an hour from your hotel so you can freeze your butt off on the top of a hill four hours from any real city in the dark with thousands of teenagers college kids and fanatical old people -- well, you should buy a top hat and apply to the Inner Circle! We thought it sounded like a pretty swell time, and we were right. We didn't get pictures with all 32 groundhog statues, but we got most of them.

This one's for Diane. Go STEELERS!!

Finally, here's a video especially for Shawn:

I love that you did that groundhog vacation! It's hard to top that, although it might be a toss up with your upcoming Alaskan vacation.
P.S. Gabe liked the kilted groundhog.

Ohhh! I just noticed that picture of Katie drinking "groundhog juice." (a close relative of the hedgehog, by the way. You should probably stay away from that stuff. You've seen what it does to James!)

OK Katie, you better have bought that groundhog hat, it is too hilarious!!

Bahahaha! I am laughing out loud at Bart's dancing. Not because it's not fabulous, because it was. It made me all happy on the inside. Katie I loved the hat you were wearing. I totally hope you bought it because I NEED to borrow it. :)
Looks like you guys had lots of fun. We watched the movie on Groundhog Day and thought of you guys.

Very cool vacation and thank you for the dance.

And...was that the life aquatic hat? Still going strong? Glad to see the pom pom hasn't fallen apart if it really is the hat.

  6. No way! I watched the movie last week and thought of you. Nice adventure to celebrate such a funny tradition and holiday. :)

This comment is late... but I love the hat, Katie. It's my favorite pic. :)
