Who knows what it will look like? We are super excited to find out! Most of you all probably know about the announcement of the building of a temple in the Philadelphia area! Knowing the people who live here and their great desire to be faithful makes this such an exciting event, and we are happy to share in the joy of it. There have been rumors that the Church owns land in Valley Forge area, so we are awaiting to see if it will actually be built there. We'll keep you all posted on what we hear.

Hooray! Hooray!!
The rumor I heard tonight is that the temple will be an urban temple, a la New York. For those of you who know Philly, it will be at the intersection of Broad St and Spring Garden St. Not the nicest neighborhood in Philly right now, but the temple will probably revitalize it nicely.
I heard the announcement of building via general conference, but where are your more detailed "rumors" originating?
A temple in Philly is definitely exciting! Whatever design is used, I'm sure it will be beautiful!
That's so exciting, I thought of you guys when President Monson announced it. Woohoo!
We said we'd keep you posted on what we heard --- so here goes. The Valley Forge rumors were false, and the downtown rumors are true. The church website says that the Temple will be built on Broad St between Hamilton and Noble Streets, which are right below Spring Garden St. This means that the temple will be just a few blocks from City Hall. Neat!
We too were super excited to hear about Philly getting a temple. Andy was at the new Rexburg temple a couple of weeks ago for his sister's sealing and he said it was really beautiful. The church always does such an amazing job making the temples fit their location and they always have such inspiring architecture. It will be neat to see how they design the Philly one to look.
I made a comment (at long last) on the vacation blog... fyi.
